Kate Sheppard Place Women 2018 was a fully inclusive event. Its aim was to inspire attendees to try and nudge the diversity needle in the right direction, at work, at home, everywhere in their lives.

This was not your typical "add women, and stir" event. KSPW18 put women up front and centre, giving them a platform to push us to keep fighting for diversity and gender equality. It's been 125 years since women were granted the right to vote. What's happened over that time, and what opportunities are waiting for us?

KSPW18 was committed to sharing the voices of underrepresented and marginalised women, including those from the migrant, transgender, and less able communities. Everyone was welcome at this event.

We are tired of having a ‘sphere’ doled out to us, and of being told that anything outside that sphere is ‘unwomanly’. We want to be natural just for a change... we must be ourselves at all risks.
